Meet the Officers of the SD Assembly of the Church of God

Pastor Joe Ganahl

Currently serves as the President of the Assembly. Joe came to South Dakota in 2004. He has a Communications Degree from the University of Northern Iowa. In 1993, God called him into full-time ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. By late 1995 he was the youth minister of Highland Park Church in Casper, Wyoming. In 2004 he accepted a postion of Senior Pastor at Morningside Community Church in Brookings, SD.

Pastor Tim Bariteau

He holds the Vice-President position in the SD Assembly. Originally from San Jose, CA, Tim started making his way east in August 2000, when he attended C.H.A.M.P.S., a 1-yr discipleship school through Champion Ministries (now called GroundWire) in Castle Rock, CO. He met his wife Eboney there, and after graduating from the program the two of them moved to Wyoming, got married on Sep 22, 2001.

Pastor Jennifer Sigl Akossi

She holds the Assembly Tresurer position. Pastor Jen is an Associate Pastor in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in the Rustic Hills Community Church where she now serves, a local graduate from high school and college, she attended Seminary in Kentucky where she received her Master's degree.

                       Pastor Elaine Ganahl

Serves as the SD Assembly Secretary.  Pastor Elaine is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor who is on staff at Morningside Community Church in Brookings, SD. She has been in South Dakota since 2004.

 Pastor Lila Clay

Serves as the Credentials Chairperson for SD Assembly of the Church of God. Pastor Lila is a Senior Pastor at Marion, SD. She has been on staff there for 7 years. Pastor Lila has served as an EEO counselor and worked in State Administration for more than 10 years.
