There are 8 federally recognized tribes registered with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Native America in South Dakota today. These 8 tribes have a proud and harsh history.

We are concerned primarily about the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Cheyenne Tribe or the Lakota people.

The vision of the South Dakota Assembly is to establish relationships with the Native American Indians by providing resources and ministers that can disicples to the families that live on or near the Pine Ridge Reservation. We want to encourage the development of Native American Spiritual Leadership by partnering with the Native American indian Council and other organizations.

The Pine Ridge Reservation is located in South Dakota on 2,000,000 acres and has an estimated population of almost 40,000 people. This large reservation has immense needs and is overwhelmingly poor. With an unemployment rate that exceeds 80% many families struggle financially. Housing, health, and social issues are major concerns. Many feel trapped and hopeless, spiritual needs are great. These orginal Americans must not be forgotten as we seek to obey our Lords Great Commission.

Hoping to bring a spiritual reconciliation and a new hope in Jesus, we are committed to sharing the love of Christ and communicating the truths of the Bible.
